Do we STILL recommend the Steam Deck?
Steam Deck Price Hike
Valve just raised the price of the Steam Deck… What handhelds do we recommend now?
Of course Tim Sweeny, decided to chime in, just a few months after laying off 1000 people, and raising the price of V-bucks which cost nothing to make.
Do you think Valve will lower the price at a future date?
Some suggest that Valve shouldn’t even make the deck available if it isn’t affordable.
What handheld do you recommend now?
Does this change your Steam Machine price predictions?
Nintendo not ready to ditch Switch
While many gamers probably want Switch 2 to be Nintendo’s main focus, Nintendo president Furukawa has stated that they aren’t ready to leave the original Switch behind.

Do you think this is because Nintendo knows that adoption of the Switch 2 is going to slow due to the economic climate OR do you think this is because console generation lines are just blurrier by default these days.
State of Play next week

State of Play showcase will be more than an hour long. Expect it to last for roughly 70 minutes, and anything more will be a bonus.
Sony has revealed Marvel's Wolverine will be a big focus of this upcoming State of Play. "Insomniac Games will share more from its upcoming third-person action-adventure game showing off Logan’s brutal and relentless combat along with some new details," it said on the PlayStation Blog.
So far, Marvel's Wolverine is the only PS5 game confirmed for the show.
Other first-party developers within PlayStation will likely have something to show, opening the door to rumours of a new God of War title starring Faye getting a reveal. There are many other teams that could have something to show, like Media Molecule, Firesprite Games, Bend Studio, and more.
Third party developers will also be in attendance. This will surely be the venue for an Onimusha: Way of the Sword release date, and it'll be supported by other publishers with new games to show and release dates to announce. It's expected to be a big show for PlayStation, so the possibilities are endless.
Fable Delayed
You’re going to have to wait a bit longer to return to Fable as Microsoft announced today that the game has been delayed until February 2027. Seems like they’re trying to avoid GTA, which honestly I don’t blame them for.
In related News, Matt Booty appeared on the official Xbox podcast today, confirming that they wouldn’t be talking about Project Helix in their Summer Games Fest presentation next week, which will focus on games coming in 2026 as well as Fable.
"There are certainly some strategic things that are out there and things we want to bring clarity to. But the focus here is on the games. For the long term, we want to make the right decisions, not the fast decisions, and I can also say that there won't be [Project] Helix news. Helix will not be in this Showcase. Again, we want to get everything about that right, so we're really focused on the games now." - Matt Booty

Modern Warfare 4
War erupts on the Korean Peninsula as North Korea launches a full-scale invasion that threatens to destabilize the world in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. A young squad of South Korean soldiers fight to survive on the collapsing front lines, while half a world away a vengeful Captain Price wages a personal war from the shadows as he stays one step ahead of those hunting him. As Price's off-book mission collides with the forces behind the invasion, the war spreads beyond anyone's control.
Developed by Infinity Ward, Modern Warfare 4 pushes the series into darker and more dangerous territory, where consequence and escalation bring long-running storylines to a powerful and emotional breaking point. Campaign drops players into trench warfare in Korea, close-quarters combat in New York, high-octane chases through Paris, SAS night raids in Mumbai, and city-wide assaults to reclaim occupied territory. Multiplayer delivers grounded, precise combat where fluid movement, player choice, and greater control define every engagement. In DMZ, players operate as an off-the-books asset behind enemy lines, where every extraction run into contested territory forces hard choices about which objectives to pursue, what to secure, and when to get out.
